Ruby on Rails is a popular web application framework for building systems. Out of the box Ruby on Rails provides you with an asset pipeline, a templating techonology, a convention for your project's structure, and a method for manipulating database entities. Typically Ruby on Rails is used with ActiveRecord, providing both schema management and mapping capabilities for storing data in a relational database.
